namisum

Back in October, I went on a day trip to Namisum (Nami Island) in Chuncheon with the school staff. Unfortunately, we visited just before the leaves turned completely red and golden, but there was a lot to photograph nonetheless. Namisum is known for being a primary shooting location of the famous Korean drama "Winter Sonata", hence the tourist and couple draw. The island itself is groomed with an eclectic (albeit kitschy) mix of sculpture and installation.

You can also zip-line straight to the island instead of taking the 10 minute ferry. That's what those two little dots are.

The infamous lane of trees
It seemed we were there at the same time as a large group of art students. A lot of cool looking kids and really good work.
Adorable baby

Chuncheon is famous for its dakgalbi (chicken stir-fry type dish).

A staff outing isn't complete without some soju!

Slowly getting these up here! Busan, Seoul, Sancheong.. coming up next, one by one.
